How many ways can the sealing strip be connected into a circle?
I believe many customers are aware of the sealing strip product, and its uses are quite wide! In order to meet the use in specific environments, it is sometimes necessary to connect the sealing strips into a complete circle to achieve waterproof, dust proof, moisture-proof, sealing and other effects. Here are several ways to connect sealing strips into a circle:
1. Glue bonding
If it is EPDM rubber, whether it is foam rubber or dense rubber, whether the cross-sectional shape is round, square, or special-shaped, you can use oil-based glue for cross-section jointing. The firmness is the same as the original rubber, and the tensile strength is the same as that of the original rubber. Larger than original glue, the bonding time is about 10 seconds.
If it is silicone foam, you can also use special silicone glue to bond it. The firmness will be weaker and can be used if the requirements are not high.
2. Hot melt docking
Whether it is EPDM rubber, silicone rubber, or PVC and other rubber and plastic sealing strips, the hot-melt docking process can be used. The firmness is almost the same as that of the original rubber. The principle is to use a self-made mold to shape and hot-melt the original rubber material at high temperature. It is then cooled and formed.
Regarding silicone rubber sealing strips, there are also special docking machines that melt and join at high temperatures. The glue used has a very good bonding effect! Note: The bonding effect is determined by the use environment and method. The generally bearable tensile force is between 0.01-0.10, so silicone sealing strips can be docked and are relatively convenient to use.
